Stressalyzer Computer homework assignments
TAM 202, Fall 2002
Paul Steif at Carnegie Mellon has written some software that is designed to help with the learning of some Strength of Materials concepts. The software has 6 modules and you are required to do parts of 2 of them for your homework. These are basically on-line tutorials, as was explained to us in the TAM seminar of Oct 18.
How to get to the software.
( Windows machines only. )
1) Go to http://www.me.cmu.edu/stressalyzer.
2) Download stressalyzer.
3) Unzip (by double clicking on the downloaded file).
4) Read the first 4 pages of the manual.
S1.(Stressalyzer assignment one): Axial loading. Due Oct 29.
Try this before the other homework problems. Then drop it if you are bored and do other homework. Come back to it later.
i) Double click on Ctwinx.
ii) Double click on Axial.ctb.
